“So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.” (Joshua 6:20 KJV)

God’s people had crossed the Red Sea and the Jordan and there before them was an obstacle which stood between them and the promise God made to them. They had visited that land and discovered it was actually flowing with milk and honey, but some of them were so frightened by the giants. Because of that God had to kill all those who doubted him and decided to raise a fresh generation.  He did away with the old so as to prevent them from polluting the new.
God took the new generation into the Promised Land to prove that his word will not fall to the ground. God will always have a witness. If you doubt him, look around and God will show you somebody that got the testimony. Just to prove to you that he is God.

God will always put you in a position where with time every mouth will be silenced so that he alone can be God. He has the power to do it such that all fleshly abilities and everything you can configure fail until he is God in the situation. In the book of Joshua 6, God said to Joshua: don’t bother about how strong the city of Jericho is. I know it has been shut because of you. And I know no one goes in and no one goes out. But don’t bother about the security and the fortification because that is not your assignment. Let me give you the strategy. And God told him what to do. Joshua had the choice to believe God or say I have never seen where a war is won without firing a shot. When Joshua obeyed, the walls of Jericho fell. When they followed divine instructions, Jericho fell. That is your portion! Follow divine instructions and you will see amazing miracles in your life.
