We Celebrate our Mothers

We Celebrate our Mothers

Dearly beloved, as we celebrate mothers today, I want to draw your attention to the scripture in Prov. 31:10 (MSG) which says

‘’A good woman is hard to find and worth far more than diamonds.…’’

By virtue of the new birth, not only are you a rare breed; your true worth is much more than rubies and diamonds. You are most valuable. Without you around, life would have been boring. Mothers and intending mothers, I truly thank God for the great role you are playing in your immediate families, the church and in the Society at large.

On this Mothers’ day, let me encourage you to continue to stand out as a woman of honor and virtue; a beacon of hope in a dark world. Beloved, we live in a time and hour when values have become eroded, but you must take a quality decision to shine as light. Don’t ever forget that you are an ambassador for Christ, and you must function like one wherever you find yourself. God’s will is that you would be a shining example of the Believer, a blessing and source of joy both to your immediate family and to every person around you. As a virtuous woman, it is also vitally important you strike a balance between being successful at work and also being a good wife and mother at home.

Often times we allow our jobs, businesses and career affect our role as wives and mothers. Beloved, no matter the accolades and applause you receive in the workplace, you need to earn the applause and accolade of your family. Your priority must be God first, then your family before your work. Don’t neglect your home because of the monthly wage, as important as it is. I know that in these last days, God is going to use women mightily to do some great things. We are in the era where the ministry of the women will be so pronounced. Many women will come to the limelight and command respect of both great and small. However, even in the midst of the success and ever increasing demand for your time, dear good woman, build your home, carry your husband and children along, don’t let them feel neglected; share your burdens with them, pray with them and you will win together. Remember that a ‘’Virtuous woman is a crown to her husband’’ Prov 12:4

Like I would always say and it bears repetition, let me appeal once again to the men; don’t be threatened by your wife’s success; rather support her, pray for her, encourage her and celebrate her. Husbands, I implore you to give your wives a treat today, give them gifts, show them love and sincere appreciation. The same goes for the children too. Let today leave a landmark for the women in your life to remember for good. Once again let me wish every married woman in the house a very happy mother’s day. You will live to reap the fruits of your labour and it shall be well with you. For those standing in faith for the fruit of the womb, the Lord will make you a mother this year. You will not be denied. This year, you will ride on the wings of grace, hitherto you were called forsaken, but I prophesy that you shall henceforth be called sought after. As you have joined others to celebrate, so also will you be celebrated.

As you go into this week may the Lord cause His face to shine upon you, grant you peace on every side and uphold you with His mighty outstretched Hand.

Maranatha!

In His Royal Service
