YOU ARE BLESSED

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion…” (Genesis 1:28 KJV)

According to the book of Genesis, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3 KJV) And God began to put things in place. He began to position things for the good of man. He created the vegetation kingdom. He created the animal kingdom. He created all the kingdoms and then said: “…Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26 KJV) Man was created in nature and character to be like God and to exercise dominion.

Then in Genesis 1:28, God opened His mouth and blessed man. Notice here that God’s first declaration over man was blessing. He blessed man. Beloved, you are blessed! See yourself as a blessed person. Call yourself blessed. “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” (Romans 11.29 KJV) God’s original intention is for us to be blessed. I don’t care what happened in your family, if you have given your life to Christ, you are not under any ancestral curse. You are blessed! And that settles it! Do you know what that means? It means you have been empowered to succeed. Anywhere you go, you will succeed. Even if it is not working, because you are carrying something called the blessing, it must work.

You must have a blessing mentality and not a defeatist mentality. You are not cursed! In Christ, you are blessed! Glory to God! Only those who are not in Christ are walking under curse. This is the way you should see yourself at all times.
