YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY

“Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.” 2 Kings 6:14 KJV

The king of Syria sent for the arrest of Elisha because anytime the king of Syria planned to attack Israel, the prophet of God will always expose his battle strategy. The prophet will tell the king of Israel where the Syrians will come from and their plans were foiled. So, the king of Syria was wondering; who is the traitor amongst us?  Who is telling the king what is going on in our camp? And he was told that there is a prophet in the land, his name is Elisha. Therefore, he sent his troops to capture him. Can you imagine that! They sent a whole battalion of heavily armed men for one person! Can you see the power you carry?

You see, we get so disillusioned and disenchanted simply because we don’t understand what we are carrying. We always say “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world”. But do you believe it? Do you believe that whosoever is born of God, overcomes the world?

Beloved, you are a world overcomer! You are not ordinary! A whole battalion came for one man and they had to come in the night because they were so afraid that he might escape. You have power!

So, I challenge you never to be frightened by the battle that is raging. If we are not called to the battle ground, how do we know the God we serve? How do we know that Christ is truly the light of the world if there is no darkness? One thing I like about God is that He always shows Himself strong in the midst of crisis. If you want to get the best of God, put Him in crisis, He will show you that He is God. That is why I know without any shadow of doubt that if you stand, your God will bring you out from any crisis you may be in.
