“But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.” (1Samuel 5:6 KJV)

During a war with the philistines, God permitted the Ark of covenant to be seized by the philistines because the children of Israel had disobeyed him. The Ark was taken into the enemy’s camp. You would have thought in your mind that because the enemy had seized the Ark, that God was powerless. They took the ark into the house of their God called dagon. In the night dagon fell before the Ark. God was showing that you can seize the ark, but his power remains intact.

The Ark was seized but it began to do dangerous things in the land of the philistines. Whosoever touched you has touched God. You are the apple of his eyes. It is dangerous to contend with a child of God because the bible said God will contend with those who contend with you. (Isaiah 49:25) You are so important to God that he’s ready to flex his muscle against anyone that rises against you. Glory to God!

God values you so much. You are important to heaven. God is not enduring you. He cherishes your fellowship. This is why God plagued the land of the Philistines. When they enquired, they found out that they had no business taking the Ark of the Lord. They decided to return the Ark back to the children of God.

Whatever the enemy has taken from you shall be returned. He cannot take what God has given to you. Get ready to receive all that you’ve lost over the years. Now is the moment and hour of restoration. God is in the business of restoring all the years that the locust, caterpillar, palmerworm and cankerworm have eaten. Whatever the enemy has taken from you is not lost. You will get them back. Idols will always bow before you because you are a child of God. And you are the apple of his eyes.
