“Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.” (Genesis 45:5 KJV)
There is a mentality that God wants the believer to have. God wants the believer to know that He has perfected everything concerning you in eternity. He is therefore not taken aback or surprised by what is happening to you. What God has done in you is much more than whatever the devil is doing. But the devil will always want you to doubt these truths.
Jacob wrestled from his mother’s womb. He moved from his home to Laban’s house where we see him labouring hard and yet he was shortchanged, cheated and humiliated. He decided to return home because of what was happening but he was afraid to return to his house because of his brother Esau. However, he returned after his experience at Jabbok. And just when you thought he was settled in his home land, he mysteriously lost his beloved son to internal conspiracy.
Jacob thought life was over for him. Life had dealt with him, which was a bitter blow. His joy was gone. The light was no more shining. For him, it was over and done when they brought back his son’s coat of many colours, with blood on it. He thought he had entered the night season of his life but God had a better plan in store for him and in a matter of time, the plan unfolded. The boy (Joseph) who he thought was dead went on to become a Prime of Egypt and was instrumental in the preservation of Jacob and his household during the years of famine.
Beloved, it is not over with you yet; God’s love is greater than your pain. No power will abort the agenda of God for your life. You will testify of His faithfulness. The grace of God will continually speak on your behalf. All you need to do is to trust Him. Trust God to bring you to that expected end. Trust Him to exceed your expectation. Trust Him to make you a praise on the earth.
