“There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.”
Matthew 26:7 (KJV)
One thing you must never allow the nay-sayers do to you is to intimidate you. The weapon of intimidation has been on since the time of Jesus. Remember the woman with the Alabaster box of oil, when she broke it and poured it on Jesus’ feet, rather than get commended, she got rebuked. But Jesus quickly responded and said “leave her alone”. They said it should have been sold and the money used to help the poor. How thoughtful, but Jesus said “Leave her alone.”
God will never ask you to do something without a reason. Of course the woman never knew about the death of Jesus, but what she did, though unknown to her at that time, was very symbolic and Jesus in responding, gave insight into the action and her obedience engraved her name in history and over 2000 years after, her story is still being read. Now imagine she disobeyed? Imagine if she was afraid of what people will say and refused the divine assignment?
Beloved, God will never give you an assignment without a purpose. Many times when He asks you to do what seems irrelevant, please obey, because there is a blessing in obedience. That “silly” act might be the key to your testimony; it might be what will unlock the door you have been praying about over the years. Learn to shut out the voice of discouragement. Learn to turn deaf ears to naysayers. Be focused, follow the voice of the Lord. Jesus said “I am the good Shepherd and My sheep hear my voice”. So follow Him and you can be assured that your testimony will manifest.
You are the next in the line. You have listened to other people’s testimonies, now is the time for your testimony. You may have no connection because, no one knows you. I declare that heaven will announce you. It is a new day for you. It is our season of God’s supernatural manifestation.
